According CA EDD am potentially eligible for the second extension. What does "potentially" means to EDD?
I live in California. I began to claim unemployment in February 2009. I have been continuously unemployed. I just my first unemployment benefits (26 weeks) in August 2009. I enjoy the benefits of my first extension (20 weeks) which will expire on February 13, 2010. I visited the EDD (Unemployment website CA) and gives no information about this: "For those who are outside their first smear or unemployment benefits, up to 20 additional weeks, on or before February 27, 2010, action New federal potentially make you eligible for the second level of extended benefits. Second level which now provides up to 14 weeks of benefits … "What potentially mean for them? Thanks for any help.
They say "potentially" because this is a standard message that thousands of people will read. If, for example, to find a job while you claim in time, could not meet their requirements. It's just a general warning.
