White House to postpone release of the updated budget WASHINGTON (AP) – The White House is forced to recognize the difference between the predictions turn optimistic about the economy and today's bleak landscape. Annual administration of the summer budget update is sure to show increased deficit and unemployment and slower growth than anticipated in the budget President Barack Obama in February and updated in May, which could complicate its efforts to secure the signature of their health care and global warming proposals in Congress.
