Am I eligible for any financial assistance (California)?
I have always worked and paid my taxes. About 4 years ago, I went the country to volunteer abroad. I returned a couple of months ago and have not been able to find a job yet. Also, if you find work but only make $ 200/week or part-time only, you can still apply for benefits of any nature in the short term until you find full-time job or can earn living wage. Note that not fired, but the job is no longer available. Thank you.
I am in Texas. If you lived in this state, the answer would probably be "no" depending on various factors such as whether the organization shall be paid unemployment program. The same could be true for California. If a local unemployment office does not hurt to go talk to them and learn more. The information could also be available on your Website unemployment. Good luck.
