employment litigation attorney

What is the best experience and academic training for a position as director of human resources?
I am a lawyer working at work and Employment (defense litigation for business) and am considering an MBA to focus on human resource management.
I think both are a great start, also may be able to find a school that does a graduate certificate (as a minor, but for graduate school) who can help you with human resources. Another that comes to mind it would be good is institutional psychology-I have seen some post-graduate certificate programs for that. Good luck!
