employment termination notice ontario
Ontario termination of employee – employer may deny your request for termination?
I have a job offer, but the vacancy has this point, I'm not exactly understand. "This agreement may be terminated by you with 4 weeks in writing to [the company]. In this case, [the company] will the right to accept such notice, or reject all or part of the notice, and their only obligation. "This means that this company may decline notification Termination? Make sense? It is as if he will quit and switch to a better job? Is this against the Employment Act of Ontario? Any help will be great. Thank you. I ask but what they say now may be totally different from now, because this is not clear. U know what I mean. I feel this can be something that might be used.
That probably means that if given 4 weeks notice, they can accept his resignation but it is effective immediately or within two weeks, or at any time shorter than the full 4 weeks and I have to pay for time not working. But If you really want to know what that means, ask them. EDIT – if signing an "agreement" or contract, both parties must have the same understanding of the language. No matter what we think it means. It matters what they think this means and has the same understanding. Ask them to clarify that, preferably in writing.
