Unemployment benefits?
I lost my job last Monday and applied for unemployment right away. I’ve been receiving booklets and all sorts of information about unemployment ever since. Also, online, it shows that I am qualified having a set weekly benefit amount of $238, I still don’t know if I’m approved or denied however. I’m in Ohio. What do you think? Do you think I’ll get it? Any advice or suggestions? Also, how long does it generally take?
Yes! You will get unemployment. You should be getting a letter in the mail fairly soon stating the amount you are eligible to receive each week and how long you will be eligible to receive it (I believe the you can receive unemployment for 6 months), and when to expect your first check.
