part time employment for seniors

18 years old teenager was asked to leave your home – stay with us. Recommend?
Well, an 18 year old friend of our daughter asked to leave home and make your own arrangements. She is starting her senior year this fall and faces WASL and SAT tests, etc. We feel shocked by the actions of the mother passing and the lack of action by the father. We love a stable home and she stays with us until it is able to return home (not likely ..) or find a stable place to stay with people we know. She is a girl with goals to finish HS and go to college. I offered to go to SA and / or college counselors with her to see how they affect your situation in any case and if there is any assistance you might qualify. She works part time and are looking for a job Additional (I'm afraid that affect their school work in the fall ..) but can not find an apt you can afford. Another mother took her to the local DSHS for food stamps. Does anyone have experience or knowledge in this type of situation has advise for us?
This will not be a popular response, but I suspect there are more in this situation you know. I would be reluctant to participate without knowing the whole story, but I realize that is not what you're asking. You may wish to seek assistance law to determine whether their parents have a financial obligation to get through high school. Besides, where is your mom? Is paying child support? Maybe his mother is a resource? What about your grandparents? It's hard to believe that all members of your family has given back.
