Are companies exempted?

You know when I was at school told me that I should respect the thug named Charlie because he was bigger than me and could not do anything I wanted. You know I'm tired of companies that hire a person after discharge, the company now seems to work time is the way to hire and fire temporary workers. Most companies will not hire off the street here in Michigan, has to go through an agency Temp. My question is, if the company is so stinking critcal about our work, jump, then we should be critical of his hiring, and laying out. I Tired of business to be so critical of my credit and employment history when it is they who are "fickle" about recruitment, not me. I just want work and stay in one place.
