unemployment and depression
Unemployment leads to depression?

My girlfriend left a job because you do not like his work ethic. Now, he has been unemployed for the past four months and convinced him that if he does not get a job with my organization, then he will go elsewhere to work. Meanwhile, all these companie are calling for work, but it is not even trying during the interviews. Is severely depressed by mentioning that the world would be better off without him in it and nobody seems to want it. Now it's our wedding in a week and I find I can not get too excited as he is happy. I have supported him through his decision to go to school and then five jobs in two years. I'm trying not be selfish in this, but when it is my turn to be happy with being too happy? Any advice?

I've been through the same ordeal and although now it seems irrational, actually did so did her boyfriend. I was so out of what I waited for my brother-in-law to get a job at home because he knew he would not face rejection. My advice …. get the doc as soon as possible and start him on antidepressants. Despite that can relate to what is happening with him, you might want to stay away from the wedding. What if the pills did not help … Do you want to stop a depressed person the rest of their lives? It's no fun, ask anyone who knows me …
