Questions regarding unemployment rate?

What’s an average unemployment rate that the economiclly healthy country has ? around 5% right ?

If then, what’s the unemployment rate that we have under this
financial crisis ??

and any estimates of how many people have laid off because of
this financial crisis ??
and Government is currently pouring money into financial sector to keep company’s from bankruptcy. Is it good policy they are taking ? Please explain me both in short term and long term.

Yeah, that’s about what most economists are happy with… healthy ranges from anywhere between 3%-6% (those are more of the extremes though).

Now, in terms of the unemployment rate, it really depends on whether you want the national rate or state rates, etc. There are some states that have double digit unemployment rates, I can’t think of what they are off the top of my head, but they’re out there.
