debit card issued by unemployment, but no funds?

I'm trying to figure out why I received a debit card in the mail without funds in it. I have it over a week ago and tomorrow will be two weeks sense I presented. I call the line is constantly busy and got through phone, but now it just rings (this is during working hours) … I can not get any of my questions answered unless the drive down there that looks like and what I go down there last week and then just a receptionist told me to wait until Friday that last Friday now … I'm trouble. going to have to drive a little more there again the sense that no one answers calls, but I wonder if people I funds are provided at the same time or if it is different for everyone. I know that many years ago was two weeks from the time of submission and everyone has the funds on Saturday night. But that was a long, long time and even in Nevada. Anybody know how this really works? I have a claim number and be submitted on Sunday, and assuming that every week … I think that's all I needed?

I have the same type of card and has been more than a headache. Our office hours are reduced and the card was issued without being asked. There was a period two weeks of waiting and then the money was deposited every two weeks. The problem was that it was not always the same day of the week. I'm in Rhode Island, and the system sucks, so to speak gently. If you have not had any money deposited after tomorrow (two full weeks), contact them again. Did you receive a booklet with your card? Mine had a website that could go to and a phone number. What finally did today was agreed that it is deposited directly into my checking account. If you have an account, I strongly suggest going the route of direct deposit. It is much easier to trace. Good luck. Definitely empathize with you. If you has to go down there again, raise some hell. Tell them you want the results now because I will not answer their phones. And if the receptionist gives you any grief, tell you want to talk with your boss. It's your money you earned. It is a gift from the state.
