What is consider voluntarily quitting with”good cause”?
I would like to know an example or 2 of good cause when it comes to unemployment. It states you have to voluntarily quitting with”good cause”. I researched some court cases & unemployment was denied because they quit due to being denied a raise. I am quiting because I don’t want to befriend a person & I am unhappy with the way I am treated by a few employees. Please help.
One would probably be what is known as constructive discharge. This is when one quits due to unaddressed/unresolved illegal activity on the job, like sexual harassment, hostile working environment. When the situation becomes unbearable, quitting is seen as for good cause.
